Our Story
How a 100+ year old barn became Chicago's newest nightmare
The Beginning
The name comes from the pentagram — five points of a star. And when we found our building, it felt like fate. A 100+ year old barn that was converted into a nightclub called Synergy in the 90s, abandoned in the early 2010s, sitting empty and waiting.
The building's owners found us through our home haunt and knew we'd see what they saw — one of the most incredible spaces you could imagine. The original silo is now a spiral staircase. The old wood and strange shadows give it an energy you can't fake. Visitors have told us stories of ghosts, of people who died here. The history is real. We just leaned into it.
Our Mission
We set out to create something different. Not just another haunted house, but an experience. Every room tells a story. Every scare is carefully crafted. We combine traditional haunted house thrills with immersive storytelling and cutting-edge effects.
Our goal is simple: create memories that last long after Halloween ends. Whether it's the adrenaline rush of a perfectly-timed scare or the satisfaction of escaping our Ritual Escape room, we want every visitor to leave with a story to tell.

In our very first season, we were honored to be named New Haunted Attraction of the Year by Haunted House Chicago and received official recognition from Haunted Illinois.
The Crew
Behind every scream is a dedicated team of haunt enthusiasts, special effects artists, actors, and volunteers who pour their hearts into creating the ultimate Halloween experience.
Our actors train for weeks before opening night, learning not just how to scare, but how to read guests and deliver the perfect fright at the perfect moment. Our tech team maintains dozens of animatronics, lighting rigs, and sound systems. Our designers continuously update and improve our sets.
